What is the Japan FinTech Festival?

The Japan FinTech Festival convenes Japanese and global communities to engage, connect and collaborate on technology-led innovation in financial services. It is a platform for policymakers, technologists, business leaders and investors to participate in dialogues on the future growth of financial services.  

When does the Japan FinTech Festival take place?

The Japan FinTech Festival takes place from Monday 4 March – Friday 8 March 2024. 

Where will the Japan FinTech Festival be held?

The Festival will take place in Tokyo in 3 different locations:  

  • Kanda Myojin Shrine: Global Leaders Dialogue (4 – 5 March), Strategic Industry Roundtables (4 – 5 March), VIP Dinner (4 March), Digital Assets Summit (6 March) and The Founders Day (6 March) 
  • SMBC Head Office: RISING FinTech (7 March) 
  • SKY LAB, Otemachi Building: JFF x FINOLAB Roof Party (5 March) 
Is there a dress code?

The dress code for the event is Business Casual.

What are the ticket types available?

COSPA Pass: US$100 

Global Summit Pass: US$300 

Global Summit PLUS Pass: US$1,000 

Government Pass: complimentary access  

Student Pass: complimentary access  

Media Pass: complimentary access  

Does the ticket price include tax?

No it does not. 10% consumption tax will be applied when purchasing your ticket.  

What is included in the ticket?

Please visit the Registration page of our website for a summary of the entitlements of each pass.

Can I buy a ticket on-site at the event?

Yes, you may walk-in to purchase the ticket onsite via our website registration which will remain open for the duration of the event. Spaces are limited, so we would recommend securing your ticket to avoid disappointment. Tickets availability is subjected to capacity cap.

I’m unable to pay using Mastercard, Visa or AMEX – how can I pay?

If you are unable to make payment using Mastercard, Visa or Amex, you can visit our Peatix page and make payment with additional options: Diners Club, Discover, JCB, Paypal, Convenience Store, ATM and Online banking.

How do I collect my pass from the registration counter?

1. Find your Japan FinTech Festival confirmation email

2. Upon arrival at JFF, show the QR code from your confirmation email at the registration counter 

3. Print and collect your physical pass to gain entry to the Festival

4 March – 5 March: Registration counter at Myojin Kaikan (within walking distance of the Kanda Myojin Shrine) 

6 March: Registration counter at 2F, EDO Culture Centre (within walking distance of the Kanda Myojin Shrine) 

I won’t be able to the attend the event in person, can I participate virtually?

This event is in-person only but some session recordings will be released on the Elevandi website post-event. 

Will any of the sessions be translated into Japanese?

No, all of the sessions will be delivered in English. 

I am interested in sponsoring the event. How can I find out more?

Unfortunately, sponsorship opportunities have closed for the Japan FinTech Festival 2024, but you can register your interest here for 2025.  

How can I nominate a speaker for the Japan FinTech Festival?

Speaker nominations have closed for the Japan FinTech Festival 2024, but please complete this form if you’d like to be considered for the 2025 event, along with other global initiatives organised by Elevandi.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else if I’m unable to attend?

Ticket transfers are subject to approval. Please reach out to with your request. 

What is the cancellation policy?

A strict no cancellation policy applies. Should you need to send a replacement, please reach out to with your request. 

Can I request for a refund if I cannot make it to the event?

All tickets paid are non-refundable. Please see the cancellation policy above.

I am a member of the press, can I attend, or cover the Japan FinTech Festival?

Yes you can, please request a media pass on our Registration page, select Media Pass. 

Which pass types include Food and Beverages?

The Global Summit Pass, Global Summit PLUS Pass, Government and Media passes all include F&B. Food will be served at 12:00pm at Myojin Kaikan, B1F.  

For attendees attending the roundtable sessions at 1:30pm, lunch will be served at 12:00pm at the roundtable rooms: 

  • Roundtable Room 1 @ 4F, EDO Culture Complex 

  • Roundtable Room 2 @ 1F, Myojin Kaikan 

  • Roundtable Room 3 @ B2F, Myojin Kaikan

Will there be food available onsite if I don’t have F&B included with my pass?

The following F&B outlets are available within or in close proximity to the venue: 

Are there any luggage storage facilities?

Unfortunately, the premises do not provide luggage storage. We suggest arranging alternative storage solutions.   

Can I join the VIP Dinner?

The VIP Dinner is strictly reserved to Global Summit PLUS Pass holders and invited guests only.

Can I join the JFF x FINOLAB Roof Party?

The JFF x FINOLAB Roof Party is open to all Japan FinTech Festival pass holders. No need to register, just bring your JFF pass and join us on 5 March 2024 from 6-8pm at 9F, Otemachi Building Roof Top (1-6-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo 100-00040.

How do I get to the venue?

Kanda Myoji is easily accessible via many modes of transport. The address is 2 Chome-16-2 Sotokanda, Chiyoda City, Tokyo 101-0021 and can be accessible by: 

  • By train: 5-minute walk from the Hijiri-bashi exit of Ochanomizu Station on the JR Chuo and Sobu lines. 
  • By subway: 5-minute walk from exit 3 of Suehirocho Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza line. 
  • Limited paid parking available: Go through the torii gate in front of the shrine, follow the road, and enter the parking lot through the side gate to the left of the Zuishin-mon. 
What time does the Japan FinTech Festival start?

Registration opens at 8:00am on Monday 4 March 2024.
Tea and coffee will be served between 8:00am and 9:30am.

The opening session will
commence at 9.30am.

What is the Japan FinTech Week?

Organised by the Financial Services Agency, the Japan FinTech Week comprises a number of parallel events; workshops, seminars, and networking activities, including the Japan FinTech Festival.  

Does my Japan FinTech Festival pass grant me access to all of the Japan FinTech Week activities?

You will need to register for certain events and purchase tickets for others. You can find out about the other events through the Japan FinTech Week website.
